Rhythm/Rhyme: “Hey Diddle, Diddle”
• MM performs rhyme:
“Hey diddle, diddle, the cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumps over the moon.
The little dog laughed, to see such spite,
And the dish ran away with the spoon.”
• MM invites S to join
• “Which animal jumped over the moon?” (the cow)
• “Which animal laughed?” (the little dog)
• Speak rhyme again
• Repeat rhyme and include patting beat on laps
• “When you pat your lap, you’re keeping the ?” (beat)

S speak rhyme with T
T asks S for creative ways to keep the beat
ie: tap beat on shoulders, nose, head, floor, 2 fingers, etc.
Resume Video
“Who’s That?”
• MM, MF, S sing song
• MM identifies low & high pitches with hand gestures
• “What words are ‘low’ & ‘high’?” (who’s, that)
• “What other words?” (Daddies, Mommies)
• “You could also sing this song about other people.” (ie: brothers, sisters)
