The main components of an electric vehicle are the high- E-Mobility components based on the MEB
voltage battery, the e-drive, the power electronics and the

charger. Components specific to combustion engines are
substituted with an electric version. A central element of
the MEB is the high-voltage drive battery.

Its design and placement plays a key role. On first glance, it

looks like a stylized bar of chocolate, flat, comprised of
submodules. You will also get in contact with new
components which are nessesary for the operation of a high-

voltageelectric vehicle. During the operation, high-voltage
energy is in an ongoing flow during the interaction between

the various components of an electric vehicle.

While the set-up of a combustion engine required more
components than the MEB modules, the weight of the car is
quite the same due to the weight of the battery system. With

the I.D. product family the free space can be used for
comfort and spacious interior designs.
