E-Drive
• Electric vehicle powertrain, including gearbox (1-speed)
• Direct transmission ratio. No coupling

HV Battery
• Lithium-ion technology. Numerous modules / cells
• Managed by Battery-Management-System (BMS)

Power Electronics + Battery Charger
• Ensuring power supply for the HV network
• Converts DC power from the battery into AC for the engine
• Converts AC power back into DC for storage in the battery
While the MEB got less parts,
the weight is quite similar to ICE
