Split Pea
Soup
Split peas are high in protien and low in fat. They are a tremendous source of vitamin K, which
aids in healing from wounds. They also help maintain blood sugar, can lower cholestoral, and
are high in fiber. This simple soup is a delicious way t o gain all of these benefits!
Ingredients soft, then add the carrots, split peas, broth, and
2 cups of water. Add the bay leaf and bring the
1-2 tbs olive oil to a simmer for about an hour. Cover, but leave
