To prevent computer viruses and malware from being transmitted through the
Company’s computer system, unauthorized downloading of any unauthorized
software is strictly prohibited including, but not limited to, instant message and
remote control programs. Only software registered and/or provided through Molzen
Corbin may be downloaded and any such download must be supervised by approved
Molzen Corbin Computer Services staff. Employees should contact Computer
Services if they have any questions.
C. CORPORATE INTERNET/INTRANET AND ELECTRONIC MAIL (E-MAIL)
POLICY
The computers, electronic media and services provided by Molzen Corbin are
primarily for business use to assist employees in the performance of their jobs.
Limited, occasional, or incidental use of electronic media (sending or receiving) for
personal, non-business purposes is understandable and acceptable, and all such use
should be done in a manner that does not negatively affect the systems’ use for their
business purposes. However, employees are expected to demonstrate a sense of
responsibility and not abuse this privilege. Moreover, employees are advised they
shall have no expectation of privacy when using Molzen Corbin electronics or
technology for any reason.
Acceptable uses of the Internet and Company E-mail: Internet and e-mail access
provided by Molzen Corbin is intended for business use only for the specific
performance of your job. The Company will evaluate Internet access based on the
need to perform your job. Access will be provided through Computer Services
personnel only. Every staff member has a responsibility to maintain and enhance the
Company’s image and to use Company e-mail and access to the Internet in a
productive manner. Any improper use of the Internet or e-mail is not authorized.
Unacceptable uses of the Internet and Company E-mail: The Company e-mail and
Internet access may not be used for transmitting, retrieving or storage of any
communications of a discriminatory or harassing nature or materials that are obscene,
sexually explicit, or pornographic. Illegal harassment of any kind is prohibited.
Messages shall not be transmitted if the content contains derogatory or inflammatory
remarks about an individual’s race, color, ancestry, sex, age, sexual orientation,
marital status, disability, religion, national origin, physical attributes, military or
veteran status, citizenship status, genetic information, sexual preference or any other
characteristic that forms the basis of a legally-protected. No abusive, profane or
offensive language is to be transmitted through the Molzen Corbin e-mail or Internet
system. Electronic media may also not be used for any other purpose which is illegal,
against Company policy, or contrary to the Company’s best interest. Solicitation of
non-Company business or any use of the Company e-mail or Internet for personal
gain is prohibited.
