My invitation for today
Today I wish to invite you to consider anger as a healthy
attribute and to develop the skills to integrate this powerful
emotion into your daily healthy living.
My thought for today
“I am responsible for my own choices and my own actions.”
When put on the spot, in ‘the heat of the moment’, very few
people can think on their feet and come away from a situation
confident that they have said exactly what they wanted to say
in the immediacy of the situation. Most of us will tend to think
of what we really wanted to say afterwards and I am no
exception to the rule.
One of my greatest personal learning curves has been not only
to develop my understanding of anger as a vital component in
my ability to look after myself, to stand up for myself, and to
stand up for the things that I believe in, but I have also needed
to develop a method and a language that I could use to
support this in the context of my immediate everyday life
experiences.
A Useful Exercise
Five steps in the ownership of empowerment and personal
choice.
“Notice. Pause. Reflect. Take considered action. Re-
evaluate.”
