Calculating Off-Grid Prices
Purpose:
To manually price an item that is oversized and falls outside the published price grid
Overview:
When we have permission to order an item that is out of spec, it may not fall within the price grid on the Reference Guide.
Without a price on the grid, there won’t be a price in ECC.
The CSR will have to manually calculate the base price.
Note: This process is not to be used for Skyline Panel between 192” & 384” or PermAlign vertical blinds between 191” &
300”. These products/sizes are not out of spec and ECC is programmed with the prices.
Process:
Below is an example of how to price a Celebrity blind that is being ordered 26” X 127”. The price grid ends at 126” high.
A blind that measure 26” X 126” has a price of $152. This is the figure that is used to calculate the new price.
The price changed from $145 to $152 when the blind went from 120” to 126”. In other words, it increased $7 for 6”. This
means that for the next 6” (up to 132”) the price would be $159. This would be the price of a blind 26” X 127”.
If the blind measured 133” high, then the next 6-inch interval would add another $7, making the price $166.
The same process can be used to calculate a price that is off the chart because of the width. Make a note that the interval
between the last two width columns. Then make a note of the dollar amount that the price increased for that width
interval. Add that dollar amount to the last width on the chart for every interval the width increases.
