RANDY PERDUE

There’s a certain dynamic to any club or group
when everyone maintains the cohesiveness of
thought, actions, and opinions. If a change
occurs in one member, it threatens the status
quo for everyone. This is especially true of a

‘negative’ type group. Many organizations have
what I like to refer to as the duck pond. There
is a group that is always quacking, moaning, and
complaining, but they’re never willing to step
out and take responsibility. The old saying,
‘Birds of a feather flock together’ is so
profoundly true, and Rocky Balboa was indeed
               a prophet.

If your life is not where you know it should be.
That's really a good place to be. Every change
for the better begins with thought. But here's
the warning that goes with it. People you love

as well as those you are indifferent about will try
and keep you stuck where you are, consciously
or often unconsciously because they don't
understand or they don't want change to
               happen to them.

Put another way, it means that when you decide
that you want something, you need to
