Justice to him that sits in judgment whom shall I make to understand my Law? I
have said to my chosen, this is the place of my rest hear I will cause the weary to
rest. This is the place of tranquility;
Judah and Jerusalem will not listen. The word of the Lord will be to them filth
upon filth, filth upon filth, vomit upon vomit, vomit upon vomit and a little here a
little there. They might return and fall backward and be broken and snared and
taken. You have said we have made a covenant with death. We have made an
agreement with each other when the overflowing Word shall pass through they
shall not come near us. We have placed our hope in lies and under falsehood we

To whom shall I speak and give warning that they may hear? Their ears are dull
and they cannot hear. The word of the Lord is to them a reproach. They have no
delight in him. Therefore, you are full of the fury of the Lord and you are weary. I
will measure and then I will pour it out upon the children in the streets and upon
the assembly of young men together. Husbands and wives shall be taken the old
men with the infants. Their houses shall be given to others with their fields and
wives together. I will stretch out my hand against the inhabitants of the land says
the Lord. From the least of them even to the greatest of them everyone commits

The word of the Lord said to me go and buy for you a linen girdle and put it on. I
bought a girdle according to the word of the Lord and put it on. The word of the
Lord came to me the second time and said take the girdle which you have bought
arise go to the Euphrates and bury it there in a hole of the rock. I went and buried
it by the Euphrates, as my Lord commanded me. After many days, my Lord said
to me arise go to the Euphrates and take from there the girdle which I
commanded you to bury there. I went to the Euphrates and dug and took the
girdle from the place where I had buried it. The girdle was rotted and was good
