haughty become humble; let the immature be made mature and the violent
become nonviolent, and the imperfect become perfect. Let every human
ascertain the reconciliation of God as the prophet Isaiah foretold of his coming.

The people asked him saying, what then shall we do? He answered and said to
them, he who has two shirts let him give to him who has none; he who has food,
let him do likewise. There came publicans to be baptized and they said to him,
Teacher, what shall we do? He said to them, do not demand anything more over
what is commanded you to demand. The soldiers also asked him saying, what
                   shall we do? He said to them, do not harass any man and do not scorn any man;
your own wages should be enough for you. While the people were placing their
trust on John; they were thinking inwardly perhaps he is the Christ. John
proclaimed, I baptize with water but among you stand one you do not know
coming after me zealous and just. He is ahead of me because he was before me.
I know him and that he will be made know. The strings of whose shoes I am not
good enough to bend down then untie and remove. He will baptize you with the
Holy Spirit and with fire. He holds a sword in his hand, and he will separate the
righteous from the unrighteous; the righteous he gathers into his temple; the
unrighteous will be put out and burn in the unquenchable fire. Many other things
John advocated and announced to the people. These things happened in
Bethsaida, at the river Jordan. Jesus Settled in Capernaum

He left Nazareth, and came and settled in Capernaum, by the seaside, within the
borders of Zabulun and of Naphtali. So that it might be fulfilled which was said
by the prophet Isaiah? O land of Zabulun, O land of Naphtali, the way to the sea,
across the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles! The People who live in ignorance saw
a great light, and those who travail in the country and in the midst of ignorance
and death, the Word of the Lord will enlighten them.

                                                    Baptism of Jesus

It came to pass when all the people were being baptized; Jesus came from
Capernaum of Galilee to the Jordan to John to be baptized by him. John tried to
stop him and said I need to be baptized by you and yet you have come to me?
Jesus answered and said to him permit me to be baptized by you now. This is
necessary for us so that all righteousness may be fulfilled. John then baptized
him. When Jesus was baptized he prayed and straightway went up out of the
water and the heavens were opened. Then a voice was heard from heaven,
which said, you are my beloved son, I am pleased with you. John attested and
said I perceived the Spirit of God gently descending and it clothed him. He who
sent me to baptize with water said to me the one upon whom you perceive the
Spirit of God descending and resting upon him. He is the one who will baptize
with the Holy Spirit. I saw and testified that he is the Son of God. Now Jesus was
about thirty years old and he was supposed to be the son of Joseph. He is the
                   Son of God.
