destroy the proud men of Judah and the proud men of Jerusalem that are many?
This evil people who refuse to hear my words and walk in the imagination of their
own heart have gone after other gods to serve them and to worship them. They
shall be like this girdle which is good for nothing.

The word of the Lord came to me and he said arise and go down to the potter’s
house.
There I will cause you to hear my words. I went down to the potter’s house
according to the words of my Lord. The Potter was doing work on the wheel. The
vessel which he was making of clay was spoiled in his hands. He mixed the clay
and made it into another vessel as seemed good to him. Then the word of the
Lord came to me and said house of Israel cannot I do with you as this potter? As
the clay is in the potter’s hand so are you in my hand.

The word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man speak what I tell you to
speak against the false prophets of Israel who prophesy to the people, and say to
them who prophesy out of their own heart, hear the words of the Lord; Woe to
the foolish prophets, who follow their own pride, for they have not heard my voice
no seen any vision! I have not spoken to them nor sent them. They persist in
confirming false words. You have seen no vision and you have spoken lying
words of which I did not tell you to say to my people and yet you say the Lord has
spoken to me. I have not spoken to you. You have seen false visions and
spoken lies; I am against you says the Lord God.

The word of the Lord came to me saying Son of man say to Jerusalem. You are
the land that is not cleansed. You refuse to receive moisture no rain has come
down upon you. Her prophets in the midst of her have conspired against me.
They are like a lion that roars and tears the prey. They have devoured lives with
their false words. Her priests have violated my Law and have profaned the word
of the Lord. They have put no difference between the holy and the profane
neither have they distinguished between the unclean and the clean. They have
refused to keep my Law, my Command and I am profaned among them. Her
princes in the midst of her are like wolves tearing the prey. They have shed
blood, destroy lives and gained dishonest gain. Her prophets have disobeyed
my commands her walls of truth have fallen because of false doctrines and
commandments of men. They see and speak false visions divining lies saying
thus says the Lord when I have not spoken to them. They have oppressed my
people and humiliated them. They have extorted from the poor and needy. They
have oppressed my people.

The word of the Lord came to me and said Son of man if a land should sin
against me and commit iniquity before me. I will stretch out my hand against it
and will break the staff of its wheat. I will send famine upon it and destroy man
