 If the selected document is a Keynote file of the.key or .key.zip format,
the downloaded file will be a .pptx file with watermarks in the
background which is converted from the selected document.

 If the selected document is a PowerPoint Presentation file of the .ppt,
.pptx, .pps, or .ppsx format, the downloaded file will be the original
document with watermarks in the background.

Note the following:

 Watermarks will only be added to the PowerPoint Presentation content
inside the slide borders.
 To ensure the PowerPoint Presentation files with watermarks can be
properly opened, AvePoint recommends you oepn them with Microsoft
Office Professional Plus 2013 or Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010.
 The downloaded PowerPoint Presentation files with watermarks are
read-only. You can only read these files in the protected view or read-
only view. When you open a downloaded PowerPoint Presentation file,
a Password window might pop up to request the password for this file.
Click Read Only to read it in the read-only view.
o If the selected document is not a Keynote or PowerPoint Presentation file, the
downloaded file is a PDF file with watermarks in the background which is
converted from the selected document.
Note the following:

• If you download a OneNote file that contains hyperlink text followed by normal text, the
normal text after the hyperlink text will also be converted into part of the hyperlink text
in the downloaded file.
• If you download a PowerPoint presentation file that contains video files, the
downloaded file may have the following problems:

o When you open the downloaded file, a pop-up window will appear to inform
that the presentation file needs repair. To resolve this issue, click Repair to
repair the presentation file and then save as a copy of the downloaded file. The
newly saved file can be properly opened.
o If the file is downloaded from a library where a picture is used as the
watermark, the video files cannot be played in the downloaded file.

Downloading Documents Without Watermarks

Users with the Watermark_Contribute_Permission permission level can download documents without
watermarks from the library. To do so, by completing the steps below:

1. Select the desired document and click the Open menu ( ) button. The pop-up menu appears.
2. Click the Open menu ( ) button in the menu. The drop-down list appears.
