PHYSICAL WELLNESS &
        TAKING CARE OF MY BODY


            KEY MESSAGES:
            - While exercise and eating right are important, there are
            many other aspects that go into having a healthy body.
            - Having good hygiene helps you take care of your body as
            well as looking and feeling your best.
            - Too much unprotected expsosure to the sun’s ultraviolet
            (UV) rays can cause damage to your skin, eyes and immune
            system.
            - Sleep is important and helps your body and mind function
            at their best.

        Washing your hands is the easiest way to keep clean throughout
        the day.
          •  Wet your hands with warm running water
          •  Rub soap onto your hands and around your fingernails
          •  Rinse your hands with running water and dry them using a tow-
            el or air dryer
        It is best to wash your hands before and after you eat, after going
        to the bathroom, after sneezing coughing, and after touching pets.


        Taking a shower or a bath is important or getting your whole body
        clean.
          •  Use shampoo for your hair and body soap for your body
          •  Use deodorant after your shower.
          •  Always put on clean clothes, including undergarments.


        Brush your teeth twice a
        day- when you wake up and
        before you go to bed, for two
        minutes each time.
          •  Make sure to get your
            whole mouth, including
            your tongue.
          •  Floss at least once per
            day- get between every
            tooth.
