◆ 2020 marks fifth season as a coach for the Angels and second
as Major League Catching Coach...Began coaching career as the
organization’s minor league catching coordinator, for three seasons
(2016-18).
PLAYING CAREER & MISC
◆ Two-time World Series champion played 15 seasons in Major
Leagues with Cubs (1999), Angels (2001-07), Yankees (2007-09),
Blue Jays (2010-11) and Rays (2012-14)...Posted a .233 (592/2546) Molina
career average in 947 big league games, including a .237 (227/958)
clip in 363 games as a member of the Angels...Won World Series
Championships with Angels in 2002 and Yankees in 2009 . . . 25
career pickoffs as a catcher remain tied for 10th most all-time with
Thurman Munson...Older brother, Bengie Molina, played 13 years
(1998-2010) in the big leagues and younger brother, Yadier Molina,
currently plays for St. Louis (2004-current).
