◆ 2020 marks Reed’s second season as Angels hitting coach following appointment on Dec. 3, 2018 (replacing
Eric Hinske)...During first season, saw Halos hit 220 home runs, the second-most in franchise history behind
only the 2000 Angels (236)...Halos offense also improved over 2018 numbers in hits, runs, home runs, RBI,
walks, team average, OBP and slugging while the team’s overall strikeout totals fell...Promoted after serving
as the organization’s minor league hitting coordinator in 2017 and 2018...Worked extensively with several
current Angels Major Leaguers during tenure...Prior to joining Angels, was minor league hitting coordinator
from 2014-16 for Brewers .

12 home runs and 110 RBI in 483 games...Was originally drafted by Chicago White Sox in second round of
the 2002 First-Year Player Draft...Traded by White Sox to the Mariners in 2004 with Mike Morse and Miguel
Olivo in exchange for Ben Davis and Freddy Garcia...Was part of a three-team trade Dec. 11, 2008 between
Mariners, Mets and Indians which also involved former Angels Luis Valbuena, Jason Vargas and Joe Smith...
Played for USA Summer National Team in 2001 and 2002...Played collegiately at Long Beach State University
(17 miles from Angel Stadium)...Was college teammates with Jered Weaver...Prepped at Bonita High School
(La Verne, CA - 26 miles from Angel Stadium).
