4.10 Welfare Provision.
The company will ensure that appropriate welfare facilities will be provided by the client sites.
These provisions to include suitable:-
• Sanitary conveniences
• Washing facilities
• Access to Drinking water
• Clean Facilities for rest and to take meals
These welfare facilities are provided by the client and will be:-
• Be sufficient for the size of the workforce.
• Be cleaned and maintained to be suitable for use at all times.
• Water temperatures will be maintained to minimise the risk of legionella or other water borne
bacterial growth (cold water below 10 deg C, hot water above 50 deg C)
Remark: in many contracts, the length of time at work does not include authorised breaks and the
requirement for taking meals doesn’t arise.
The headquarters site provides all necessary welfare facilities for staff and is fully compliant with
appropriate regulations – see below
