Back in the pits the GB team contemplated their results, with some fantastic
riding from Saunders and the returning Hall, with Allison and Potter flying
in the sand, putting on a great show for Team GB.
With race two approaching it was clear Jaymee had sustained a bad knee
injury from her earlier crash, and after packing her knee in ice, she
strapped and taped it in an attempt to make the start of the second race.

Even on the start line it was clear the pain was intense as she struggled to
get her weight over the bike at the gate and after a good start she was
struggling to hang onto the bike in the tough conditions and after the
opening lap she was forced to pull in to save further injury.

Hugely disappointed, Jaymee had to pull out of the final race of the day
which was a real low point of the season as she had missed a great
opportunity to score some good points for herself and Team GB, but as
ever positivity and team spirit kicked in as she hopped trackside to
support the other GB team mates.

With one final twist on the day at least a small part of Team G made the
third race, as after a last minute problem for Georgia Potter, rolling her
bike off the stand to find a front wheel puncture, so with a quick dash
through the pits Steve G swapped out the iTech Racing Husky front wheel
into the KTM of Georgia and she managed to scramble to the start line just
          in the nick of time...

The depleted GB ladies rode their hearts out in the final race with outstanding performances from all everyone with Marni
Saunders top Brit on the day, setting up a potential IMBA top 5 finish for her as she and her teammates headed to the last round
          in Switzerland.
After a painful and long journey back to Surrey, Jaymee and the rest of Team G remained upbeat about the fantastic trip and the
entire season, which had seen some highs and a few lows, but one thing was clear that the knee injury that she sustained in the
deep sand of NL, was indeed a real issue and clearly signalled the end of the season for the young rider.

In need of some R&R Jaymee turned her attention to planning a break - a couple of weeks on Mexico’s beaches, sun and surf
were calling. However, in typical Jaymee style there was very little sitting around, just kite surfing, climbing, trekking and living
life to the max, with one eye on some winter race training and coming back in 2020 stronger and faster than ever.
