From the gate drop the pace was frantic, with an early mistake from Gowland seeing
her crash hard on the downhill section which also caused issues for Jaymee on the
#16 machine, both remounted with Jaymee making it back into the top 20, Gowland
further back after bar and lever trouble from the heavy impact.
Race two was better for Jaymee seeing some great racing between her and a pack
of German and Dutch riders, bringing the bike home safe again in the top 20, but
this time cutting 3 seconds off her best lap time from earlier in the day.
With another good start in Race three the #16 machine was flying through the
downhills and jump sections until after a heavy landing the rear wheel damaged the
tyre lock, which then gave out resulting in a rear puncture half was through the
race.
This made the bike impossible to handle in the big drop off jumps and the signal
from the pit was bring it in safely and not risk a major accident.

Boyd by the weekends speed and performance and thankful again

into whole time service.
So we were all gutted to
miss the meeting and
the points that were
available to maintain the 6th
overall position in the championship and to help secure next year’s IMBA place.
Rested but still a little demotivated, we went to the last BWMA weekend for rounds 7
and 8 with a point to prove targeting maximum points from both Saturday and
Sundays races. Then double whammy, the Saturday was cancelled and the points
available had been lowered, making it impossible to recover the championship positions
to make the IMBA line
up.
After a team pep talk
and following Dads
words “you’re a top six
rider, so go and show
it” #999 qualified well
and was set for the
opening race.
With the field lined up,
waiting for the gate
drop we were off, but
Jaymee missed the
