The Elderly Outreach sub-committee hosted the “Heart to Heart Valentine’s Bingo” at the Bob Harrison Senior
Center, February 10, 2015. Sorors came out to assist over 20 senior citizens. Gifts were provided to the winners,
but every participant received a Valentine’s gift.
TARGET IV: ENVIRONMENTAL OWNERSHIP

Sorors of Target IV are enthusiastic and excited about their plans for the 1908 Playground Project at the James A
Lane Boys and Girls Club on Abingdon Avenue! The club operates after school activities for neighboring schools
and is under the leadership of Soror Liz Clemons. The 1908 Playground project is one of five targeted national
programs of Supreme Basileus, Soror Dorothy Buckhanon Wilson. Partnering and collaborating with Target IV
are EGO husband and wife teams, Wiley and Chinella Henderson, James and Natalie Steele, Melvin and Ladonna
McCann, local chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Kappa League, Albert’s Flowers and Greenhouses, Enchanted Forest
Garden Center, Home Depot, Loews Garden Center, AKA ASCEND and other targets and initiatives of Alpha
Kappa Alpha, Epsilon Gamma Omega Chapter. Also, in collaboration with Operation Green Team and First
Missionary Baptist Church, Target IV will collect and crochet plastic bags for sleeping mats. The hand-made
sleeping mats will be presented to the homeless community.
