The conditions on the course were perfect for low scoring. The carpets
were wet from a few days of rain, and the tournaments were held in
the evenings – so the cool weather would have a lesser influence on the
carpet fibers – whereas the heat and sun typically cause the carpet
fibers to fluff and create a slower carpet...of which the players would
experience by the weekend.
Not all activities happened on the Putt-Putt course. On a cool and

English. Heart-warming stories
were shared, as well as tales that were being shared for the first time.
It was an evening dedicated to comradery, accomplishments, and

contributions. It was an event that is hoped to be repeated for the 53
HoF inductee.
As the morning sun of June 5 started to visit the Burlington course, so
did the 90 PPA and APA participants. The usual favorites were zeroing
in on their finite changes to enhance their chances of shooting a low
score on a course that would allow a player to consistently go low –
which was demonstrated by Reeves just a few days earlier. Brian
Patterson and his crew prepared the course to be in its best shape. The
carpets were clean - and the course aesthetics were inviting. The
