• The department receives gifts periodically from businesses or community members as
thanks for the general services it provides. It is acceptable to receive such gifts as long as
the offer is for the department in general and there is no expectation of anything in return.

Shopping
Rangers are prohibited from doing personal shopping while in uniform except when
purchasing meals and daily personal items.

Goods and Services
Rangers are prohibited from seeking or accepting free or discounted goods or services, including
food and drink, from any business establishment, vendor, or their employees that are otherwise
unavailable to the general public
