Step 4: Manual Payment Processing (Through gPlex® Payment Processing System):
4. a. Some customers may find it difficult or make repeated mistakes in keying in their credit card information
using phone keypad. In such cases credit card information may be entered into the gPlex®
Payment Processing system by the agent manually ONLY if the agent has been granted such Manual
Payment Processing Privilege by his/her manager. Ask your manager to grant such privilege, if needed.
Step-by -Step manual payment processing through ‘gPlex® system’ is presented below:
(i) Click on the ‘Payment’ button on the LHS menu bar (Shown in Fig 3).
(ii) In the ‘Payment Form’ check i.e. tick on the ‘Manual Input Mode’ and then click the
Start Session button (Fig. 4). This will open the manual gPlex® Payment Processing
page.
(iii) To STOP Voice Recording: Enter *9 (type *9 in 2 seconds) using Agents IP phone set.
(iv) Verbally ask the customer for card information, enter those into designated windows
in the gPlex® Payment processing page and when done press the Process Payment
button. Note: In manual mode gPlex® system will NOT validate correct entry of card
number.
(v) Once payment is processed RESUME Voice Recording by entering *7 (type *7 in 2
seconds) on your IP phone set.
4. b. Manual Payment Processing (Through Non gPlex® Payment System)
In some situations an Agent may have to process payment using a payment processor (web terminal or
machine) other than gPlex® Payment processor. In those cases you do NOT need to open gPlex® Payment
session, you just need to stop voice recording. So please follow below mentioned step-by-step instructions:
(i) STOP Voice Recording: Enter *9 (type *9 in 2 seconds) on Agents IP phone set.
(ii) Verbally ask the caller for card information.
(iii) Use any Non gPlex® payment processing terminal or machine to process the payment
using the card information collected verbally.
(iv) Once payment is processed RESUME Voice Recording by entering *7 (type *7 in 2
seconds) on IP phone set.
