Communication Inquiry and an invited chapter titled
"Worker Rights and Employer Responsibilities in the
Internship Economy" in A Field Guide to Internships:
An Interactive Resource for Discovering Your Career.
She also completed a chapter titled "Ways of
Seeing...What You Want: Flexible Visuality and Image
Politics in the Post-Truth Era" for the forthcoming
edited volume from MIT Press Fake News: A Reader
and chaired the panel "Technologies of Dissent: A
Workshop on Organized Resistance in the Digital
Age" at the 2017 annual convention of the American
Studies Association in Chicago, IL

American Studies Association
of Korea based on a new
research project which will
become a chapter in a
second book project: Adrift
Across the “Heavy Waters” of the Pacific."
She will also present a conference paper at the
American Studies Association in November 2018
based on a new research project: "Unruly
Dead: Watery Graves and the Insurgent Mourning
of the Sewol Parents."
Jinah Kim's first book, Postcolonial Grief: The
Afterlives of the Pacific Wars in the Americas will
be published by Duke University Press in
December 2018.
