Here is a great picture to help you see what the plaque placement would look
like. Depending on where your tumor was, inside your eyeball, the plaque
would be place on the outside right behind it.

At that point, I had already decided I was going to keep the lead patch on for
most of the time, if not the whole time. All I knew was that I didn’t want my
mom to be near me during that time, though I knew she’d want to be. I just
wanted her to be safe, away from the radiation. This would be the first time I’d
be flying solo without her on this part, but I just new I had too. I decided to
stay at a friend’s house while the radiation plaque was on. Dr. Wong said to
email him any additional questions should they come up. I felt comfortable
with the information I was given and was ready. I spent a couple of days with
the family and then headed back to Tahoe.
