because you are strong in Christ. The typical African all over the world is often plagued by fear,
cowardice and lack of confidence. Your knowledge of Christ should help you to overcome all
this backwardness that befalls Africans generally. This is not to say that there are not some who
are bold but majority have many things to fear.
Instead of being bold after knowing Christ, some people become so fearful that they are
totally paralysed. If you are not careful, you might find that you are much bolder than when you
become christians. And that is because some churches subject their members to fear either out of
ignorance or out of wickedness, whichever way, Do you know that the muslims are bolder
because they think less of demons, principalities, powers and spiritual wickedness in high places.
The christians are generally the first to fear evil forces. They see cockroaches and become
scared.
One thing you should know this day is that most of your fears are created by
autosuggestion. Your mind works along that line. But Jesus Christ came and gave the Holy Spirit
to make us bold. The apostles were very weak minded and discouraged but as soon as they were
filled with the Spirit of God, they became embolden. The bible makes it clear that fear will do so
many damage to you. Consider the following facts;
1. God didn’t give you fear but satan did – 2Tim. 1:7.
2. God is with you, so, you don’t need fear and lack courage – Josh. 1:9.
3. Since the Lord is your helper who can be against you – Heb. 13:6.
4. Perfect love for you cast out any fear that you may have – 1Jn. 4:18.
5. Knowledge of Christ means do not fear evil because evil will never befall you since God is
with you – Ps. 23:4.
6. Any battle you are going to fight, the Lord will go before you – Deut. 31:8.
7. Because the Lord is your light and salvation, you should not fear anyone – Ps. 27:1.
8. You should not be heart-fainted or troubled because He has given you unthinkable and perfect
peace – Jn. 14:27.
