that is not God’s problem, that is yours, if you fail to exercise the power that God has given to

you. Here are the things you need to do in order that you can continue to exercise the power.

               1. Acknowledge the power that is within - 2Cor. 13:5
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not
your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? (2Cor 13:5).

This is a repetition of what had been said before. Constantly and always you must have
the consciousness. Spiritual consciousness is one of the things that is lacking in the church and it

is one of the greatest source of power. Paul asked, “don’t you know yourself to examine yourself
if you are in the faith” (2Cor. 13:5). There are certain pieces of information that are necessary to

your success as a christian in this life. This is where there is a difference between two christians,

the one who knows and the other who doesn’t know. Ignorance is not an excuse in law and if you
don’t know, then you should know you have to understand that there is an inherent power. God

says, “If any man does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His”. You have that spirit
within you and you need to acknowledge it, you need to know it. You need to be always aware

that it is in you. This awareness is always necessary. You should create the awareness by

constantly going to scriptures that tell you the things that are on the inside of you. Jesus is inside
of you and you are inside Jesus. Angels are working for you. Angels are ministering spirits sent

forth for you. Knowing them will help you to exercise the power of Christ in you.

               2. Abandon the old way of thinking – Eph. 4:22-32, Prov. 4:23, Prov. 28:26, Jer. 33:3
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life (Prov. 4:23).

The longer you have been in this world, the older you become, the more difficult it is to
generally to give up an old way of thinking. Our thinking generally has been formed by our

background, our life experiences and our personality. Some of them could be pleasant, some of
them could be unpleasant. However, in order to do well and to exercise the power of Christ, you

must relinquish that old way and you must discontinue them. You must throw them away like old

garment. The bible is meant to be the standard for everybody especially christians. You must
seize from your tradition and renounce them like hell and tell yourself, “this way of thinking has

not helped me, now I need to cast it away”. You must surrender your life and your thinking to the

Word of God. You must yield yourself by faith so that you can deliver yourself from the past and
live in the present and future. Sometimes, you have to put a disclaimer upon that old way of
