P. 20

The word ‘exalt’ means to magnify, to elevate, to praise, to commend or to glorify Christ

unlike what many people do, having more on their lips the name of satan rather than the name of
Jesus. Every believer like you should talk less about satan and talk more about Christ. Even if

you have to talk about satan, you must have spoken about Christ an hundred times before you
mention satan. What people don’t realize is that when you call satan and mention his name so

many times, you are releasing his spirit. When you call the name of Jesus and Christ, you are

releasing the power of Christ. A true believer like you must always lift up Christ in everything.
You must give glory too Him because He says, “when I am lifted up, I will draw all men unto

Him”. Instead of elevating satan always, try to exalt the Lord. Because we are in a world of
conflict, there is a battle between good and evil, between sin and sinhood and between satan and

Christ. Many years ago, one of the books that we read was between Christ and satan written by a

very powerful German preacher. In that book, you will find a lot of conflicts and how Christ
invariably overturn the kingdom of darkness. Why do believers elevate satan. This is a major

question. You discover that before Christ is mentioned, satan has been mentioned, something
happens and the next thing is satan. Here are some of the reason why satan is being elevated

               instead Christ being exalted.

               1. Ignorance of God’s will about satan – Gal. 1:4, Col. 1:13, Col. 2:15, Rev. 12:11, Jn. 12:31,
               Lk. 10:18
Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world,
according to the will of God and our Father (Gal 1:4).

The church is yet to be fully exposed to the fact of the defeat of satan. You may think that

satan is on the throne but he is not. Calvary has shamed him. And therefore, under no
circumstance should you be tempted to elevate satan instead of Christ. The Word of God makes

it clear that satan is defeated. At Calvary, Jesus put him to an open disgrace. Why should it then
be so prominent in your vocabulary? It is because you are ignorant of the Word of God. Here are

scriptures that tell you of the defeat of satan.

               2. Inadequate knowledge of who Christ is – Rom. 16:20, Jn. 14:30, Acts 10:38, 1Jn. 2:13-14,
               Heb. 2:14-15
And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord
Jesus Christ be with you. Amen (Rom 16:20).
