Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the
kingdom of his dear Son (Col 1:13).

This damnation means that he will go to hell but this is where you need to be careful

because since he is damned, he is trying to get other people damned. It is just like somebody who

is already in jail, he is going to make sure that other people will possibly join him there. This is
exactly what the devil is trying to do. It is in this aspect that you have to be much more watchful

and careful.

4. Satan works through the darkness of ignorance – 1Jn. 4:4, 1Pet. 5:8
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in
you, than he that is in the world (1John 4:4). Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the
devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour (1Peter 5:8).

God has said, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. When you are ignorant,
it is easy for the devil to deceive you. You have to understand that the devil himself knows the

bible and trembles knowing it, the only way you can deceive him is by having the knowledge of
the Word of God.

5. Satan is deceitful – Isa. 54:17, James 4:7, Eph. 6:11-17

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise
against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the
LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD (Isa 54:17).

That is what you have to know and part of his deceit is trying to take the truth of the
Word of God away from you so that you can’t stand him.

6. Satan decorates sin to make it attractive – 1Pet. 5:8-9, Heb. 3:13
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh
about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfastly in the faith, knowing that the
same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world (1Peter 5:8-9).

This is one of the things you need to know that is why you need to elevate Christ who

brings deliverance from sin. Well, you should understand that there is nothing attractive in sin.
Sin is destructive. Sin leads to death. Satan decorates alcoholism and drinking of beer as a means

of enjoyment. Satan calls fornication and adultery fun and beauty. Satan causes things that God

denounces to look very nice to people. This is why you have to know what the Word of God says
about anything so that you can defeat the devil.
