5. Idleness instead of hardwork – Eccl. 10:8, Prov. 14:23, 2Thess. 3:10-15, Prov. 20:13
By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the
               house droppeth through (Eccl 10:18).

It is easy to say everything that happens to you is caused by the enemy without being

proactive. That is idleness. That is laziness. Sometimes, when something happens to you as a

christian, you must search your soul. You must try to find a biblical reason for it. Instead of
merely saying the devil caused this or it is work of the enemy, find scriptural concerns for that

particular thing. You shouldn’t be idle. Many christians are lazy. If you are the type that sits
down and watch or read the newspapers without finding time to study, exercise faith and obey

the Word of God, you cannot find the many opportunities to exalt Christ. It is a lazy man’s idea
that says the devil causes something. We made the devil to cause a lot of things but because he is

a liar, many people think he causes more than what people think he is actually causing. This you

must avoid. You must have a very good image of yourself because you have an identity in Christ,
you are a child of God and therefore, you must elevate Christ instead of elevating the devil.

What ignorance of the Word of God can cause

Here are some of the things about satan. You can’t depend on what people say or don’t
say, you have to look for things that God says about satan.

               1. Satan is already defeated – Jn. 14:30
Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath
               nothing in me (John 14:30).

Believe that, act as if that is true and then, you will able to elevate Jesus.

               2. Satan is already damaged

He is not only defeated, Calvary has damaged him. Not as powerful as when he was with

Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Not as powerful as when he caused David to number
Israel and to sin with the wife of Uriah. Not as powerful as when he caused Moses to be in the

water. Not as powerful as when he put Jesus Christ on the cross. The cross was what damaged

him absolutely. See him defeated, see him damaged and you will be able to elevate Christ.

               3. Satan is already damned – Col. 1:13, Rev. 3:21, Jn. 10:10
