Page 4 - ENTERING INTO WHAT CHRIST HAS DONE
P. 4
There are three things to do with this in order to bring about the change that the Word of
God is meant to do.
1. Acknowledge it – Heb. 1:6, Phil. 4:3, Matt. 6:33, Lk. 21:36, Heb. 11:1, Gen. 1:1
And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all
the angels of God worship him (Heb 1:6).
The word ‘acknowledge’ is to conceive and admit that this is meant for you and that these
are things that you have in Christ. You are to make a public and private confession. You are to
declare it by recognizing it as the source of authority of who you are. You make mistakes by
thinking about yourself from the perspective of your culture and background rather from the
Word of God. By acknowledging these facts and applying them in life, you will be able to make
an experimentation with the Word of God which will help you to recognize who you are in
Christ.
2. Accept it as being yours – 2Cor. 3:5, Col. 3:15, Phil. 4:6-7, Matt. 7:7-8, Rom. 8:28, Ps.
37:23-24
Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our
sufficiency is of God (2Cor 3:5).
To accept something is to receive it and acquire all that it gives you. It is to see yourself
in the light of those things that have been spoken. You consent and submit to it under any
circumstance. It means you believe it, you hold fast to it, you trust in it, you affirm it in your
beliefs and then, you get all the benefits from it. Acceptance is more than wishful thinking. It is
to know that this is what God says you are and this is exactly who you are. As you constantly
affirm that Word of God, your spirit will able to acquire the information and so, the
transformation that Word of God ought to give will now become a reality. For the word to
become a reality, it means that you start only to acquire information but to be a doer of the word
and not a hearer alone, even to your own self.
3. Apply the information to your life – Matt. 6:34, Jos. 1:5, Ps. 118:24, 2Cor. 6:2, James 4:13-
15
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the
things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof (Matt 6:34).
Make a demand of God from this knowledge. Petition and appeal to God from this
information’s point of view. Many times, you don’t utilize what you need to utilize. You must
