to work in a lab. A family friend suggested I consider grad school and become a patent attorney
because you have to have a science degree to be a patent attorney.

What are some of the items that come through your office that might be of interest to our
readers?
We receive strange correspondence from customers, many times the same customers send
multiple correspondence. The strangest one was a letter using very profane language and
containing explicit confetti that the upset customer likely bought at a sex shop that was left over
from a bachelorette party. I never knew that type of confetti existed.

What one word or phrase best describes your outlook on life?
Realistically hopeful.

Tell us a little about your family? Children? Pets?
I have not had a pet since I was 18 years old. My Husband says he is allergic to dogs and cats–
our children don’t believe him. LOL. I have been married for 14 years. I have 2 children who
are 14 months apart and are now in middle school. I am very close to my family (Mom, Dad,
Sisters, nephews, numerous cousins). Anyone who knows me knows I have hundreds of cousins
that are surprisingly relevant in my life.

What hobbies or interests do you enjoy away from the office?
History. I like to learn about history (now that I don’t have to learn history for school). I watch
documentaries, especially music documentaries. I like to see the process of building something
that becomes legendary. I also like to share history. I also have done lots of genealogy research
for my family trees. I have written up some summaries of information to share with my family
members. I also like music – all types. However, I am a child of the 80’s so my favorite is Hip-
Hop.

What is your favorite snack or pleasure food item?
I enjoy a good healthy snack because you don’t feel guilty afterwards. However, my guilty
pleasure snacks are candy, lemon cake, and Sublime Donuts.

What is your favorite TV show or movie series? Favorite book?
TV shows (I like so much TV): Games of Thrones, Cosby Show, A Different World, This is Us
Movies: Star Wars Series, Hunger Games Series Books: The Color of Water, The Alchemist, The
Hunger Games Series

Do you have a favorite place or destination that you enjoy going to in order to relax and get
away from work?
To sleep…Seriously, I like the beach.
