TIP FROM IT - Password Creation
✓ Don’t use common passwords such P@ssw0rd or Qw3rtyui! which meet password
requirements, but are easily guessed.
✓ Studies have shown that if a hacker knows something about you (think Facebook!) they have a
73% chance of guessing your password.
✓ Many people use a variation of the same password such as HappyD@y!1, and HappyD@y2. If
the hacker discovers one of your passwords, they can easily guess your password to other sites
such as your work or banking sites.
✓ Password managers such as LastPass and Dashlane create a complex password for you and
store it so you can easily retrieve all your passwords remembering only one complex
password.
✓ Use passphrases like the title or a lyric of your favorite song with some special characters and
capitals thrown in.
