TEAM DDS! The Employee Satisfaction Survey conducted in June-July 2016 gathered a lot of valuable information
from DDS Team Members. Six-hundred forty nine (649) Team Members participated in the survey which constituted
65% of all employees.

Several themes came out of the survey which led DDS Leadership to create 5 Work Groups to address results from
the survey. Membership in the Work Groups was solicited from across all divisions of DDS so that a good cross-
representation of ideas could be utilized.

Three of the Work Groups decided to solicit additional information from all Team Members via Survey Monkey. The
data gathered in this manner was used to address those areas.

A summary of the outcomes from the survey solicited by the Core Values Work Group were:
 Team Members were asked to select up to 6 core values from a list of 28 possibilities and they could also
enter any others they wanted to add.
 They were also asked if they wanted an acronym to help them remember the core values. 75% of the
participants said they wanted an acronym.
 515 Team Members participated in this portion of the Survey and the top 5 values the team selected were:
Teamwork (289)
Trusted (283)
Dependable (230)
Efficient (195)
Ethical (186)

The Core Values Work Group came up with 4 possible variations using “T.E.A.M.” as the acronym.

The DDS Executive Team met to review the selections and craft the final version and our new DDS Core Values are:
o Trusted Service
o Ethical Actions
o Accountable to All
o Motivated to Excellence
#OneTeamOneMission

Developing our core values was a true team effort and I thank everyone for their hard work in helping to establish
values that represent us collectively. We will be sending out updated posters with our new core values very
soon. We are One TEAM and I’m super excited to be a part of the DDS Team with each of you.
