DDS was honored to have State
Representative Amy Carter of Valdosta visit
DDS headquarters recently. This gave the
Executive Leadership Team an opportunity
to present her with a plaque of appreciation.
Commissioner Moore and the group
personally thanked her for sponsoring our
agency legislation during the 2017 legislative
session.
She also supports all of our major initiatives
in her role as Chair of the House
Appropriations General Government
Subcommittee.
(Special Note: Carter bears no relation to former
President Jimmy Carter, who has a daughter of
the same name. Her legislative district is about
120 miles (190 km) south of President Carter's
hometown of Plains.)
