MEET the TEAM

My name is Leo R. “Reggie” Smith, and I reside in Conyers, Georgia. I
have been with DDS for 3 1/2 years and currently serve as the
Supervisor of Training & Development for all Team Members. I am a
native of Dillon, SC and attended Voorhees College in Denmark, SC.
Prior to coming to DDS, I worked at the State Personnel
Administration (SPA), C.R. Bard, Exxon Chemical Americas, and
Siemens.

I have served as a Guest Lecturer for the Atlanta Falcon’s Rookie
Success Program (“Managing Emotions,” 2008-2012), and for the
National Basketball Association’s Rookie Transition Program (“Anger
Management,” 2012).

My significant work accomplishments include the design,
implementation and maintenance of an employee training, tracking
and documentation system for Bard’s Moncks Corner, SC location;
and the design and implementation of a computer based learning
center for Bard’s Covington, GA location. I currently serve on the
Advisory Board for the Rockdale County United Way. I am a past
member on the Board of Directors for DeKalb Tech Prep Consortium
and the Jewel Jackson McCabe Emerging Leaders Institute Inc.
Additionally; I develop affordable housing in South Carolina through
the SC Home Program.

My hobbies include Deep Sea fishing, Tai Chi, Zen Meditation and
practicing the Art of Mindfulness. I am happiest and at my best when
I spend time with my three grandchildren and use my skills and
talent to help make a positive difference in the lives of others.
