STAR PERFORMER

Rob Gallaher – PACS Application Specialist

In my perspective, Rob has been a star performer in my team for as long as I have

worked with him. Rob started at Bayview in 2002 as a Diagnostic Technologist. Then, in
2006, with Rob’s IT knowledge and skills along with a thirst to delve deeper into the IT

side of Imaging, he became our PACS Specialist.

To me, Rob is the definition of Star Performer. He is a great team player that
tirelessly works to get the job done and is always willing to help whenever possible. His
willingness to help and his dedication not only makes him shine, it also makes him a

pleasure to work with.

His name has appeared so often in the daily recognition on our huddle board that
we have considered writing it in Sharpie. Since the organization started the Applause, he

has received 5 applause submissions from me as his Supervisor because he had shown
his willingness to go above and beyond the responsibilities of his position. The last one
he received was pertaining to a patient who had called the department after being

transferred around multiple time. A very frustrating experience for the patient, until
Rob got the call and helped her. The patient was so grateful for his help that they called

the Office of Patient Experience to ensure that Rob was recognized for being so helpful
to her needs.
