New Emergency Department
Patient Care Manager
Welcome, Rosemary (Rose)
Ostendarp, MSN, RN, CEN as the
new Patient Care Manager for the
Emergency Department.
Ostendarp obtained her bachelor's
degree in biology from Loyola
University Maryland in 2003, and her
BSN in 2006 from Drexel University.
While working clinically in the adult
emergency department, she completed
her master of science degree with a
leadership/management
concentration from Stevenson
University in 2014. She is certified in emergency nursing (CEN) and is a
member of the Emergency Nurses Association.
Ostendarp has served as a registered nurse at The Johns Hopkins
Hospital for 13 years, including 11 years in the adult emergency
department. She was promoted several times within the clinical ladder,
most recently as lead clinical nurse. She was very active as an orientation
facilitator for seven years, and has served on the Standards of Practice
Committee, Nursing Council and other unit-based committees. She
served as interim nurse manager for the JHH ED several times during her
tenure there.
