This gentleman ended up in the clink while weaving in
an out of anchored boats & swimmers at Muscamoot
Bay. As a reminder for operators of PWC's:
Improper Distance is not maintaining a proper
distance while operating a vessel. You must proceed
at "slow, no wake" if you are within 100 feet
of the following:
A shoreline (if operating in under three feet deep)
Any moored or anchored vessel
A dock or raft or
Any marked swimming area or people in the water
Where does the phrase "thrown in the clink"
come from anyway? In the 16th & 17th centu-
ries, The Clink was a specific prison in South-
wark, London, where it was in use until 1780,
and then was destroyed by rioters. The noto-
rious prison held misbehaving actors, prosti-
tutes and drunks, dragged from the taverns,
theatres and brothels, and may be the oldest
prison in London. They have a museum there
now with tours at 1 Clink Street, London.
