I can spend on prizes with the actual takings. More support
for Club occasions would obviously have a knock-on effect
on the number and value of prizes I am able to provide.
I would like again to thank David and Healthy Koi for their

continued, generous support of every Raffle by supplying
the First Prize and smaller prizes at cost, which enables
the small profit for Club funds. David has again been a

great support to me on the Committee in helping to
organise Club events throughout the year, and I hope to
have the chance to continue working with him in 2019 .
Thanks must go to each and every member of the

Committee, who strive so hard to keep the Club running
smoothly. I’m not sure how Doug finds the time to do all
that he does, but he is a very active Chairman, and helps

out in so many different ways, and we would be lost without
him.
I’m not going to list each and every Committee member

individually, only to say that it has been a pleasure
working with you all over the past year. However, I
must make special mention of Geoff and Mary, who so

kindly invite the Committee to their house for our
monthly meetings, which is one hundred times more
comfortable than the previous venue (and saves the
Club a fortune in hire charges too). This hospitality

continued even following Mary’s major operation earlier
in the year, and we thank them both for that. They also
provide all the lovely refreshments we enjoy at most of

the Club functions, and do not hesitate in inviting the
entire Club to their garden whenever we are looking for a
venue for a special
