awards. The Grand Champion award went to Craig Collins.
Thanks to David Isted who did all the preparation
That takes us up to date and to the December Club Night, which
is of course our AGM. This is a very important meeting but
hopefully it will not take too long and then we can attack the buffet
and enjoy the social side. Included within the AGM Agenda for this
year there will be 2 items that will require a vote from members.
First, we are looking to move future AGM’s to May. This is partly
due to the decreasing attendance at December AGM’s but also
this will put the AGM in sync with the membership year. If this vote
is carried our next AGM will be in May 2020.
Second, following successful trials over the last 2 years your
committee has already taken the decision to replace Wednesday
Club Nights during the summer season with Sunday Club After-
noons to be held at a member’s garden or grounds. However the
committee is now seeking member’s support to replace the re-
maining ‘winter’ Club Nights with Sunday Club Afternoons, which
will still be held at the usual Denmead hall. Your committee
believes that the falling attendance at the traditional Club Nights
makes this change necessary and recommends that you vote to
support this change. Most other Koi clubs take this approach and
it works for them but the final decision is up to you the members
so please do come along and vote.
As explained in my report last year, traditionally at the AGM
thanks are given to the caterers, helpers at the AGM and to
members for contributing to the raffle. All other thanks are record-
ed in the December magazine. So here goes: -
Thank you to all the committee, they are volunteers who kindly
give their time to help run the club as best as possible. A special
