Rosan P. Roeslani
Chairman of
Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN Indonesia)
The administration of President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo has allocated the biggest
amount of state budget for infrastructure building since the nation has declared
its independence in 1945, something which sends positive signal for the business
and industry sectors, according to Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Chairman Rosan P. Roeslani. For the period of 2014-2019, the Jokowi administration
has pledged the allocation Rp 5,500 trillion (US$412 billion) for infrastructure
projects across Indonesia to support one of its nine key programs (nawacita), namely
infrastructure acceleration to boost connectivity.
The Indonesia Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KADIN Indonesia) is committed to
support the transport, logistics and maritime sector through active collaborations
with all stakeholders. It is important that KADIN Indonesia be able to develop a
close relationship and high level of comfort with the business community. This
builds confidence and trust, and in turn, helps to support and strengthen business
ties.
I would like to commend the organisers for initiating the national agenda of
Indonesia Transport, Logistics & Maritime Week 2017 which consists of the series
of exhibitions which are Indonesia Maritime Expo (IME) 2017, Indonesia Transport,
Supply Chain and Logistics (ITSCL) 2017, Intra-Logistics Indonesia (ILI) 2017,
Indonesia Trucks and Commercial Vehicles (ITCV) 2017 and Jakarta International
Logistics Summit and Expo (JILSE) 2017. This exhibition and conference will be
very useful in updating participants with the developments and opportunities in
Indonesia’s transportation, logistics and maritime sector. At the same time, the
conference will serve as a useful networking platform for companies to touch base
and renew partnerships, and to find new common ground for collaboration with
potential partners.
I wish all delegates and participants an enriching experience at the exhibition and
conference.
