C.0.1.1 Review of Policy Statement
This OSH Policy is subject to yearly review or when there are any changes in
organization management responsibility or when it is recommended to do so by an
audit finding based on performance achievement of safety and health programs and
its implementation.
C.0.2 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Structure
The Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) is a company-
wide system that describes the requirements for effectively managing the
occupational safety & health practices across all of RSAJ’s water treatment plant
activities and operations. The application of the OHSMS enables the organization to
achieve the objectives detailed in the OSH Policy.
The OHSMS is a dynamic system that is continually being improved to ensure it is
current and aligned with the changing nature of the operation. The OHSMS of RSAJ
comprises all policies, objectives, roles, responsibilities, accountabilities, codes,
standards, communications, processes, procedures, tools, data and documents for
managing the safe operation of its facilities.
Within the OHSMS documentation hierarchy, the requirements at any level must
meet and support the requirements at higher levels. At the top level is Company
OSH Policy approved by the Company Management. It establishes a framework for
common OSH practices and expectations across all levels of the operations. To
ensure the policy objectives are achieved, manual, procedures, work instruction and
checklist are established.
