The Plant Superintendent of the KT1 & KT2 WTP has the overall organization,
management, direction and control of the operations and maintenance work. He
reports to the Section Head, Water Treatment Section who is based in the head
office in Larkin. The Section Head reports to the Head of Production Department
who in turn reports to the General Manager of Operations Divisions.

A Technician assists the Plant Superintendent while all the Operators at the plant
report to the Technicians. The reporting relationship for the KT1 & KT2 WTP is
depicted in the organization chart in Figure C.1.1c.

The KT1 & KT2 WTP operation team follows a normal day and twenty-four (24)
hours rotation system. The Plant Superintendent, Technician and office clerical staff
follow normal day working hours, from Monday to Friday, 0830 to 1730. The
Operators work on a 3-shift of 24 hours cycle. Details of working hours are detailed
in Table C.1.1 below:

Manning levels at the treatment plant have been established such that adequate
resources are available at all times to ensure safe and efficient operation of the
facilities. During any given shift, there will always be the following key personnel;
One Technician and three Operators. In addition, any competent personnel can be
contacted at any time to ensure that critical decisions are taken without delay.
