3.2 Summary of Key information presented in the Report
3.2.1 Part A: Information on the Hazardous Substance
The following chemical substances are being used for the water treatment
process at the Kampung Tengah 1 & Kampung Tengah 2 Water
Treatment Plant:
• Chlorine
• Sodium Silicofluoride
• Polyaluminium Chloride
• Soda Ash
Two (2) substances are identified in this report as hazardous substances
as defined in the CIMAH Regulations 1996. One is the toxic gas, namely
Chlorine and the other is a toxic substance, namely Sodium Silicofluoride.
The maximum quantity of CIMAH hazardous substances that may be
stored on site as follows:
