4.1 Lighting
4.1.1 Front of House Lighting
Customer areas and kitchen lighting is usually
a mix of spotlights, wall wash, ambient lighting
and feature pendants. General light fittings will
be supplied sprayed to RAL 7039 – NOTE: This
NOT the same colour as the ceiling (RAL 7037).
General principles for positioning each fitting
are as follows:
• Wall wash lights to be fitted at 1200mm
centres (alternate tiles) for the full extent of
the graphic wall and white tiled walls. Each
light to be installed between 450-600mm off
the wall face.
• Spot lights to be installed in specific locations
only, as accent lights: Typically- 3No in line
over slap table, 2No over cut table
• Downlights are to be used throughout the
rest of the Bake & Serve and Customer Area
ceiling to provide adequate task lighting,
generally one fitting per 6 ceiling tiles.
• Feature pendant lights are to be located
over sit up bars in the shopfront window.
• All pendants to be to be hung 1950mm to
underside and centred to the sit up bar. The
pendants have a standard cable length -
between 600-850mm. If the customer area
ceiling is higher than 2500mm AFFL longer
cables need to be fitted. Microlights will
suffice an at an extra cost (and longer lead
time) or the site electrician can do it, at the
main contractor’s discretion.
NOTE: there are three different pendant light designs. This is
intentional and all three should always be used.
