DPG and their Design Team will submit drawings to form a Building Control
Statutory Approvals application to BRCS (DPG’s incumbent Building Control Approved Inspector) for
sites in England and Wales; or the relevant Local Authority for sites in Scotland and
Northern Ireland. Applications will be developed to a ‘plans approved’ stage.
Franchisee will be responsible (either directly or via the appointed Principal Contractor)
for notifying Building Control of the proposed start on site date, organising and
managing all Building Control site inspections and site certification documentation.
Copies of all documentation to be forwarded to the DPG Project Manager.
Legals Where applicable, DPG Project Manager to attend site and sign off any Landlord’s / developer’s
shell works prior to lease completion.
DPG Site Acquisitions Surveyors / Solicitors to provide confirmation of lease completion to
franchisee.
Tender / Appointment of Franchisee to obtain quotations from approved contractors and suppliers, and appoint a

DPG Project Manager to arrange meeting on site at least 2 weeks prior to proposed start on
Pre-start Anchor Meeting site date.
Pre-start meeting attendance by franchisee, Domino’s Project Manager, appointed Principal
Contractor, Principal Designer and Architect.
Additional attendance may include the franchisee operations team, Structural Engineer
(where applicable) and M&E specialist sub-contractors as required.
Franchisee to liaise with key suppliers, arrange delivery dates and organise site access.
Mobilisation
Franchisee to ensure that orders are placed to allow works to start on site in accordance with
the agreed construction programme
Franchisee to check that all insurances are in place
Franchisee to check all drawings and construction information prior to orders being placed.
(DPG will not accept responsibility for any errors made)
Start on Site Franchisee to ensure that relevant Building Control body have been notified of confirmed start
on site date.
Principal Contractor begins work. Site to be secured and set up as an appropriate work place,
including provision of welfare facilities.
Principal Contractor to progress the works diligently and in complete accordance with all Health
Construction & Safety legislation, statutory approvals, construction information and Domino’s shop fitting
specification / brand guidance.
Franchisee to agree time and date of store opening with Principal Contractor.
Completion / Handover
Principal Contractor to handover completed project to franchisee in accordance with agreed
protocol, including final inspection of workmanship and brand standards.
Franchisee to liaise with Principal Contractor, to ensure that all test / commissioning certificates,
as-fitted information, statutory consent notices, EPC report, Building Control final approval
notices and any other relevant documents are provided in the O&M manual at handover.
DPG Project Manager to carry out final site inspection and review compliance with Domino’s
Post Completion Inspection shop fitting specification / brand guidance upon completion of the project.
Administration and development fee for self-build projects is £1,000
