sometimes they flew low in the air over the seed-rice and
landing on another area. At sunset, they called each another and
took off, flew high into the sky to return their nets and extending
wide to the horizon.
The flowers of any kind bloomed haphazardly along on the
side roads in the village, and the fields when Spring came in
from its warm sunlight. White clouds floated slowly with the
light wind in the high and clear blue sky. The swallows
frequently crossed such as the shuttle in the air. The songbirds
sang anywhere on the branches of the trees and harmonized with
the sounds of the universe. It became a beautiful song at an early
day to make the Springtime become the great season of love and
happiness for all kinds in the whole world.
At this time, the sounds of firecrackers were noisily
anywhere in the village. Every family had joyfully with wines,
foods and the special rice cakes, which was one of a
Vietnamese's custom cakes. Those cakes came from the Hung-
Vuong Emperor with the beautiful love story by sharing and
respect for the Hong-Bang dynasty period, the kingdom of Van-
Lang country.
In the three days of the Lunar New Year, people in the
village opened their fair words of the Happy New Year's wishes
to each one of another. Together, they were ready to forgive and
forget all the mistakes that their friend had to make in the past to
living in love and share. They opened the Spring festival with
the games for the villagers playing on a large ground park of the
village and around the Church.
Every Sundays morning, Nguyen walked behind his grandpa
toward the Catholic Church in the village. He always kept a
short space from his Grandpa to run after a butterfly and
gathered flowers along the side road. Nguyen was usually
hurried after hearing the bell ringing on the top of the bell tower,
