Yes Ozil is controversial because he divides opinion among fans, pundits and
former players, is he a genius or lazy? he is also not afraid to bite back at his
critics.

Do they have Contract Issues? Is the players contract coming to an end or is
he due an extension? If an important players contract is coming to an end then they
are likely either going to try to get a pay rise, or try to force a transfer move to
another club, both scenarios will get media buzz.

Why? Why is there contract issues? Is the player holding out for higher wages?
Does the player want to leave? Is the player surplus to requirements at the club?
Knowing this information will give you a clearer picture of what is likely to happen
with the players future.

Yes Ozil contract is coming to an end at the end of the 2017/2018 season. It reads
like he wants to leave and for a free transfer will have a lot of interest.

Are they a Fan Favourites? if they are fan favourites then fans are likely to
be talking about them on social media, media outlets will pick up on this and try
to appeal to the masses by reporting on the player.

Why? What reasons can you give to support the player being a fan favourite? are
they the best player on the team? Do you see the teams fans always talking about
the player online? Again make a list to support your answer to avoid any bias
thinking.

As already mentioned Ozil splits opinion like very few players playing in England
and half the Arsenal fans do not like him, meaning he is not exactly a fan favourite,
although to balance that out he is the subject of many heated debates.

So out of four key entry conditions Ozil answers yes to three of them meaning he
fits my strategy and I should buy him.

Exit Point

I like to be patient with my media buzz players. I will only review my position in a
trade if the player drops below three of the entry conditions, I will then assess the
situation as to why the player no longer meets the entry conditions as it could be
just temporary.

Trade Performance

Mesut Ozil Media Dividend Return Aug - Dec 2017 = 28p per share so £28 payed
out on 100 shares

Media buzz players are usually very consistent and the patterns are easy to spot,
get on the right player and the dividends will keep coming.
