To summarize this beginning chapter – emphasize that this is their own
garden or growing area and have them involved in all parts of the creation
of it. Make sure their growing spot is easily accessible, there is plenty of
sunshine to grow in and it is sheltered from the wind.
Set them up for success by keeping things simple and start small, never
rushing and give them lots of encouragement and attention, stepping in
where necessary. Limit the amount of time spent on each task and make it
fun!
The next chapter we’re going to get down and dirty looking at the
foundation of our garden, the soil.
