Directions:
Planting
1. Poke some small drainage holes in the bottom of the plastic container.
2. Fill your container almost to the top with seed starting mix soil.
3. Water the soil until it is very wet.
4. Sprinkle seeds thickly and evenly across the top of the soil.
5. Press the seeds gently into the soil.
Drape a damp paper towel across the top.
Place the container on the drainage plate and put it in a sunny window.
Care:
Note: may vary with different seed varieties and the conditions they are
grown in.
For a few days, once or twice a day, remove the paper towel, mist the
seeds, then replace the paper towel.
After seeds have germinated, 3-5 days, remove the paper towel. Continue
misting the seeds once or twice daily.
Once the seeds are beginning to take root and leaf out, switch to watering
with an increased amount of water just once a day.
After a couple of weeks when the greens have one or two true leaves
harvest them by tipping your container almost on it’s side and cut the
greens off with scissors at the stem. Rinse and enjoy!
Want a super simple way to get started growing micro greens –
Try growing some fast growing seeds on a damp sponge. Wet the sponge
and sprinkle seeds generously over the surface. Spray gently with water
every day. Cut off sprouts for eating when at the desired length.
Have some fun with sprouting seeds by growing cress heads.
